A timeless classic of odd comedy and great music. This could be considered one of Dan Aykroyd and John Belushi's defining career moments. 45 mins.

I think this is why this movie in enjoyed by so many people. The wish fulfilment theme is very subtle but very powerful and provides such a feel good factor.
It's a great movie and a real shame that John Belushi died so soon afterwards.

On another note, how did you find this podcast?

Very interesting to hear your thoughts on The Blues Brothers. While I don't agree with all your thoughts on the film, I do think you hit the nail on the head that this is a wish fulfillment movie...primarily for Aykroyd, who was the one who had the primary interest in the music that drove this film.

Growing up in the Chicago area (in the same neighborhood Belushi grew up in) this was required viewing when I was a kid.
